Flight Cancelled! :(

Hi all family and friends.

It is sad but true. Today we went to the airport and spent 3 hours waiting and trying to figure out what to do. Because of the storms in Seattle our plane never made it to Boise to take us to LA. Our LA flight was canceled and therefor we weren't able to make the other legs of our trip. After an exceptionally nice woman at the counter helped us for one and a half hours, Jonathan and I were able to get booked on a flight leaving Christmas Eve and arriving in Honduras on Christmas day. Nick and Autumn miraculously made it out of Portland and will arrive in Honduras on Christmas Eve. As of now, the rents were not able to re-book their flight and will most likely have to cancel. We can't explain how saddened we are by this. We're still hopeful that something will happen, and still trusting in God for his timing. Dad says there's nothing better than a white Christmas, and is trying to make the best of things...

Much love - still from Boise,
Courtney and Jonathan

oh man...well, did you see our blog?? We currently have 2 ft of snow and the hwy to/from the city is closed and has been for over 2 days!! This definitely is some storm that has hit the NW. I am so sorry your plans have changed, but from experience...God will bless even the new circumstances and you will STILL find joy and meaning...keep us posted.

It is so great to know that you have all arrived safely in Honduras and are already enjoying such memorable experiences. Although your mom and I are left behind on this trip we are enjoying the cozy fire and yet another 4 inches of new fallen snow in Boise. Even though we are apart, we are still with you in spirit and anxious to hear all about your adventures. We also trust that everything that has transpired is part of God's great plan for this moment and time and we know that the Holy Spirit will be with you to keep you safe and guide you to great adventures in serving his will in this world. Love Mom & Dad.
